How to Clean the Dr. Dabber Switch 2
Clean Switch 2 glass, insert and internal surfaces separately. Keep ISO off the outer finish, remove glass correctly and avoid pulling a hot insert.
The Switch 2 has different cleaning rules for its glass, internal surfaces and outer body. The easy mistake is using the alcohol cloth from the glass on the Blue Onyx shell: Dr. Dabber says that damages the finish.

1. Choose a quick wipe or a deeper clean
After each session, stop heating and turn the unit off. Start with a dry cotton swab to collect residue. Dr. Dabber then recommends an ISO-dampened swab while the insert is still warm to remove what remains. Do not clean during an active heating cycle or pour alcohol into the insert.
Leave the insert in place for routine swabbing. Remove it only when necessary for a deeper clean: unplug the unit, let it cool, then lay out a cloth and the supplied tweezers. Never remove a hot insert.
Keep a separate damp, soapy cloth for the body. Labeling the two cloths or simply placing them on opposite sides of the work area helps avoid mixing them up.
2. Remove glass before the crown
Support your hands on the crown and gently push upward at the bottom of the glass with your thumbs. Do not pull the mouthpiece. Set the glass down before removing the crown.
If insert removal is necessary, use the supplied tweezers carefully. Avoid gripping the cloud-pathway holes. Keep each removed piece in view instead of piling fragile parts into a sink.
3. Clean each area with its own method
Use a swab or paper towel dampened with 91% or stronger ISO on residue around the internal chamber, cloud pathway and crown. Dr. Dabber warns against torch-cleaning inserts.
Clean the detached glass with ISO, rinse thoroughly with water and air-dry. Wipe the outer shell with a little dish soap on a damp paper towel, keeping water out of the charging port. Keep ISO off that shell.
4. Let everything dry before reassembly
All cleaned parts must air-dry completely. Do the final check before putting the crown and glass back: no loose cotton, visible liquid or damaged parts.
Use this pause to put the alcohol away and clear used swabs from the work surface. It is much easier to spot a missing piece on an uncluttered cloth than among packaging and cleaning supplies.

Cotton swabs, the supplied tweezers, a soft cloth, mild dish soap and approved ISO cover the tasks above. The 99% option below meets the knowledge base's 91%-or-higher guidance; a compatible bottle you already own is fine.
